Contact Page Blueprint — Professional Service

Your contact page is where AI looks to confirm that a business is reachable. This blueprint makes your phone number, email, mailing address, and office hours machine-readable so AI systems can surface you as a trustworthy, contactable provider.

What this page needs

Reachability is a trust signal. When AI evaluates whether to recommend your firm, it checks whether a real human can actually get in touch. A contact page without structured data forces AI to guess from raw HTML — and guessing means you get skipped.

Without these fields, AI may know your firm exists but still cannot confirm that someone can walk in, call, or email — so it recommends a competitor who made that information explicit.

Why these fields matter to AI

Each field in the template below serves a specific role in how AI systems discover, classify, and recommend your business.

Researched and tested by Minnesota AI

Organization

name
Non-negotiable. AI cannot cite or recommend an unnamed entity.
url
AI needs a stable URL to attribute recommendations and route users correctly.
email
Primary contact signal for online services. AI won't recommend a service it can't confirm is reachable.
contactPoint
AI needs a customer service path before recommending a service from an unfamiliar provider.

Use This Prompt to Implement Your Schema

Copy this prompt and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any AI coding tool. It will ask for your business details and generate ready-to-use JSON-LD schema for your page.

Implementation Prompt · Contact
You are implementing AIFDS-compliant JSON-LD structured data for a Professional Service Contact page.

AIFDS (AI-Friendly Data Structure) is a schema framework built on research into which
structured data fields AI systems actually read, parse, and use when deciding whether
to cite a page. Documentation at aifds.org.

Before generating any code, ask me for the following information in a single numbered list.
Do not generate schema until I have answered every required field.

REQUIRED — do not proceed without these:
1. Business name
2. City
3. Close time
4. Domain
5. Email
6. Faq answer
7. Faq question
8. Language
9. Latitude
10. Longitude
11. Open time
12. Organization name
13. Phone number
14. State
15. Street address
16. Zip

OPTIONAL — ask for these but proceed if I skip them:
1. Any additional details not covered above

Once I provide the information, output a complete JSON-LD script block
ready to paste into the <head> of my HTML page.

Output requirements:
- Valid JSON-LD wrapped in <script type="application/ld+json"> tags
- schema.org vocabulary only
- Every AIFDS-required field for this industry and page type included
- Include this data attribute on the script tag: data-aifds="aifds.org Professional Service Contact"
- No placeholder text — omit missing optional fields rather than fill with examples
- After the code block, list any optional fields skipped that would strengthen AI citation

Generated schema follows the AIFDS framework. Fields were selected based on research into AI crawler behavior. View the research at minnesota.ai

Template — fill in your values

Copy the template below and replace every YOUR_* value with your own data. This block goes in the <head> of your contact page.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a separate JSON-LD block on the contact page if I already have Organization data on the homepage?

Yes. AI crawlers do not always combine data across pages. The contact page should carry its own ContactPage and Organization nodes so the reachability signals are self-contained on the page where a user — or an AI — expects to find them.

Should I include geo coordinates even if my business is remote or virtual?

Include them if you have a registered office address. If your business is fully virtual with no physical location, omit the geo node rather than using a fake coordinate. AI systems treat missing data as unknown, but incorrect coordinates actively mislead.

What contactType should I use in the ContactPoint?

Use "customer support" for a general inquiry line. Schema.org also recognizes "sales", "technical support", and "billing support". Pick the one that best describes who answers when someone calls or emails the number on your contact page.
