FAQs Page Blueprint — Restaurant

Your FAQ page structures common restaurant questions so AI can quote your answers directly. When someone asks "do they have gluten-free options" or "can I book a private dining room," this blueprint makes sure your answer is the one AI surfaces.

What this page needs

The FAQ page is one of the highest-value pages for AI because it directly maps questions to answers. When AI encounters a structured FAQ, it can pull your exact answer instead of summarizing paragraph text from across your site.

Why these fields matter to AI

Each field in the template below serves a specific role in how AI systems discover, classify, and recommend your business.

Restaurant

name
Non-negotiable. AI cannot cite or recommend an unnamed entity.

Use This Prompt to Implement Your Schema

Copy this prompt and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any AI coding tool. It will ask for your business details and generate ready-to-use JSON-LD schema for your page.

Implementation Prompt · FAQ
You are implementing AIFDS-compliant JSON-LD structured data for a Restaurant FAQ page.

AIFDS (AI-Friendly Data Structure) is a schema framework built on research into which
structured data fields AI systems actually read, parse, and use when deciding whether
to cite a page. Documentation at aifds.org.

Before generating any code, ask me for the following information in a single numbered list.
Do not generate schema until I have answered every required field.

REQUIRED — do not proceed without these:
1. Domain
2. Faq answer
3. Faq page description
4. Faq page title
5. Faq question
6. Restaurant name

OPTIONAL — ask for these but proceed if I skip them:
1. Any additional details not covered above

Once I provide the information, output a complete JSON-LD script block
ready to paste into the <head> of my HTML page.

Output requirements:
- Valid JSON-LD wrapped in <script type="application/ld+json"> tags
- schema.org vocabulary only
- Every AIFDS-required field for this industry and page type included
- Include this data attribute on the script tag: data-aifds="aifds.org Restaurant FAQ"
- No placeholder text — omit missing optional fields rather than fill with examples
- After the code block, list any optional fields skipped that would strengthen AI citation

Generated schema follows the AIFDS framework. Fields were selected based on research into AI crawler behavior. View the research at minnesota.ai

Template — fill in your values

Copy this template and replace every YOUR_* placeholder with your own data. Add or remove Question/Answer pairs to match the questions your guests actually ask.

Frequently asked questions

How many Q&As should I include on my restaurant FAQ page?

Include at least 5–10 of your most commonly asked questions. Cover the topics guests ask about most: allergen accommodations, dietary options, reservation policies, private dining availability, and parking. More is better as long as each question is genuine and the answer is specific.

Should allergen questions go on the FAQ page or the menu page?

Both, but in different ways. The FAQ page should answer general policy questions like "Do you accommodate nut allergies?" with a direct Answer node. The menu page should tag individual dishes with dietary flags. AI uses the FAQ for broad policy questions and the menu for item-specific detail.

Should I include reservation-related questions in my FAQ schema?

Yes. Questions like "How far in advance should I book?" and "Do you take walk-ins?" are among the most common queries AI receives about restaurants. Structuring these answers lets AI respond directly instead of sending the user to your reservations page to figure it out.
